Transitional Design

Transitional interior design is a relatively new addition to the design world, with its origins tracing back to the 1950s and the post-modernism era that quickly ensued. Think of the root of the word ‘transit’ as being something traveling between two destinations. Those are the worlds of traditional and modern design, with transitional as a middle ground that combines elements of both. It is a style that balances between comfort and sophistication. Elements of minimalism are ever present, yet combines classic forms. It is the best of both worlds.
